Review: I contacted Forever and Ever Flowers approximately 3 weeks ahead of my wedding, using their webform. I will admit this was short notice (I honestly didn’t think there would be so much demand for this type of service) so was prepared to be flexible to get the flowers to them.
The company never replied to my contact on the website, so I phoned them a week later, and was told they had received my message but not replied as they did not have availability to do a pick up in Southend. Quite why they couldn’t have contacted me and told me this I don’t know – not the best customer service.
I was advised they might be able to do a pick up in other parts of Essex, so I agreed to explore that option and said I would get back in touch.
I called again the next day, wishing to discuss a number of options, one of which would be a Saturday evening pick-up at the reception in Rayleigh. I didn’t get as far as discussing other options due to the rudeness of the man I spoke to.
I was told “we’re a wedding company, we do weddings on Saturdays and can’t just drop everything to do a pick-up”, “we live in Colchester, Southend is too far away, we only do pick-ups on Sundays”. I explained politely that I hadn’t realised they had distance and time restrictions (their website says pick-ups 9am-9pm 7 days a week, and mentions distances much further away than Southend (13 miles from Barleylands…), I was then told “well there’s a lot of things wrong on our website”. The man by this time was getting quite rude to me, and I politely said thank you and goodbye.
I honestly can’t say what his actual problem was, but it was quite clear from the outset that he just didn’t want to do business with me – perhaps he would care to elaborate why?
Also while looking for alternatives in the area, the company seems to be listed under several names (TJ Designer Weddings, The Preservation House) and has used its other companies to provide 5* reviews for itself. Not good when you need to make up reviews.
I would not recommend this company at all.
